Space optimization

Hear the music, not the room.

The characteristics of your room affect the sound you hear. Sound waves reflecting off your walls, ceiling and floor create peaks of increased energy at specific frequencies. Construction materials, furnishings and features like doors and windows, also affect how much energy is reflected, and the length of time it takes to decay.
Space Optimisation allows your Linn Specialist to identify the precise frequencies affected and reduce their energy by just the right amount, removing the distorting effect of your room to reveal the true sound of the music.

Great sound shouldn’t cramp your style
Every room has its own particular sound. When you’re investing in a world-class music system, why let your room have such a big say in what you hear? Remove the unwanted distorting effects of your listening environment and reveal the true sound of the music.

How it works
Space Optimisation uses sophisticated acoustic modelling to build up a complete picture of how your speakers, their placement, and the unique characteristics of your room interact to affect the sound you hear. It then precisely identifies frequencies that are artificially distorted by your environment, and reduces their energy, to reveal the music that would otherwise be hidden.
Whatever speakers you use, and however you’ve designed your room, you’ll hear a performance that’s optimised uniquely for you.

Design your home the way you want to and enjoy a performance that’s optimised for you.
We would be happy to demonstrate the difference with and without room optimization at HiFi-Studio Achterholt.

This Space Optimisation is a web/internet based application to adjust the music played by your speakers to match the unique characteristics of your room. This is a more advanced version of Space Optimisiation than the Konfig version. To access Linn Account Space Optimisation go to

www.Linn.co.uk -> “My Account” – Manage systems

If your music system is not yet set up optimally, we will be happy to help you on site or via remote maintenance.

  • Cleaning the drive belt

The belt should also be cleaned from time to time. Use a damp, lint-free cloth for this purpose. As soon as the belt is clean, no more residue should be visible on the cloth.

  • Cleaning the pick-up needle and thus the record

One of the best ways to clean a record is to play the record and then clean the needle. The needle of a good pick-up goes deep into the groove and thus removes even the deepest dirt from the groove.

The Organik DAC

The first ever pure Linn digital-to-analogue converter

Linn Organik DAC

The Organik DAC is Linn’s first digital-to-analogue converter designed and manufactured entirely in-house.

In the Organik DAC, Linn handles every element of the digital-to-analog conversion process through a combination of FPGA processing and a discrete converter stage.

These are designed to work together in perfect harmony. They are precisely controlled and relentlessly optimised for exceptional audio performance.

An order of magnitude better

Organik offers significantly less noise and distortion and measures better than anything we have achieved before.

Experience Organik

Our in-house developed Organik DAC is at the heart of a new generation of Linn products and enables our most natural sound ever.

Next generation Klimax DSM is the best yet, applying decades of audio innovation and digital technology learnings. With its extreme engineering and breathtaking sound, Klimax DSM is the closest you’ll get to streaming audio perfection.

Designed from the ground up, Klimax DSM is housed in an exquisite precision-machined new enclosure, providing vital acoustic isolation along with visual and tactile luxury.

On the inside, the beating heart is the ground-breaking home-grown Linn Organik DAC, enabling our most natural sound ever.

Linn Klimax DSM 2021 Next-generation Klimax DSM contains features and technology developed by our engineers across years of industry-leading research and development, including the groundbreaking new Organik DAC.
Designed without compromise and manufactured entirely in-house, the home-grown all-Linn Organik DAC combines FPGA processing with a discrete conversion stage, enabling us to precisely control and optimise every stage of the digital to analogue conversion process for the first time.

Listening is believing
Information lost at the source is lost forever. No matter how good the subsequent amplifiers or speakers are, you cannot get back what has already been lost, so it is important that you put the best possible source at the top of your system.

New Linn Tonearm Krane

The new Linn Crane tonearm for the LP12 will soon be available and in demonstration.

Linn Krane Tonarm The new crane arm takes more details out of the record to achieve even better sound quality. Together with the new Karousel bearing, the crane will raise the performance of the Majik LP12 to a higher level, making it the entry-level model with the highest performance and best value for money.

Even if you buy now the Majik LP12 with the, carbon tonearm (Project), you can change to the crane at the beginning of 2021, when the crane is also available separately, against payment of the extra price.
